About Hamilton Shipping:
Hamilton Shipping started off life in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1919 as Alex M Hamilton + Co, named after the Great Uncle of Gordon Hamilton, the former owner and Managing Director.
From its origins in Belfast, Hamilton Shipping now operates from 6 sites in Londonderry, Belfast, Dublin, Cork and Limerick. Gordon was keen to establish the business across the whole of Ireland and since then has invested significantly in broadening the range of shipping and cargo services the company can offer its Irish and global customer base.
The addition of stevedoring and warehousing facilities has allowed Hamiltons to provide a fully integrated, owned and operated supply chain for containerized, breakbulk and bulk cargoes. Entry to the stevedoring business was achieved through the acquisition of Scruttons, the world famous stevedoring business, with roots stretching back as far as the early 1800’s in London. Hamilton Shipping places a special emphasis on its management and staff. The unrivalled loyalty and experience of this big team helps us keep our current customers and gives us an extra advantage in our efforts to attract new customers. We seek to satisfy our customers so they come back for more and take the time to tell other companies about us.
Hamilton Shipping relish the most demanding air, ocean and ground transportation challenges. We aim to understand our customers needs and then deliver individually tailored solutions designed to improve efficiencies and minimize costs.
In 2012, Denholm Logistics acquired 100% share capital of Hamilton Shipping Holdings and its subsidiaries.
