Our client is a reputable Hotel group located in East/South Donegal. They are currently seeking to recruit a Pastry Chef to work between 2 of their busy hotel kitchens.
These hotels operate all year round and has a busy Wedding, Functions, café bar and restaurant trade.
Reporting to the Head Chef, suitable candidates must be able to prepare, cook and present all dishes and sauces to a high quality and consistent standard.
- Create and prepare Dessert Menu items;
- Create and bake breads to accompany different meals;
- Research and develop recipes;
- Organise the smooth operation of the Pastry section;
- Oversee and supervise junior staff;
- Ensure HACCP compliance at all times;
- Prepare budgets and order supplies/ingredients for pastry making;
- Liaise with other chefs to plan menus and pair food & drinks.
What we are looking for:
- Candidate must have 2+ years in a similar position;
- Strong organisational skills;
- Present dishes in a timely manner and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
