The role of Trade Counter Assistant includes helping customers at first point within a state of the art working environment. You will be responsible for leading the sales order process and also assist customers via phone or email when required. This is a varied position requiring someone professional who possesses strong IT skills. Product knowledge and the ability to retain new information is critical to this post as you will be advising on different customer requests daily. This is a fantastic position which offers the opportunity to build long-term relationships with the opportunity for fast track promotions as a new team develops.
The right person for this role will come with experience from a building products retail environment or similar. You will have a professional demeanour and be passionate about being a part of new projects. The right person for this role will have demonstrable product knowledge and ideally previous experience advising more junior members of staff. You will have experience managing inventory and be an effective administrator with strong Excel capabilities.
