MCS Group is working closely with an indigenous, high-growth software company in their search for a hands-on, yet commercially astute Chief Technology Officer. The CTO will join the organisation at an exciting period for the company which has been operating for close to 5 years and has plans to growth their headcount by 30% in the next 12 months. Reporting directly to the CEO (who is based in NI) you'll work from home/remotely with the expectation of working from their Dublin officer 1-2 days per week post-covid.
This is the perfect opportunity for a hands-on CTO or Software Manager who is ready to act as the technical face of a hugely ambitious and successful start-up. You'll have ownership of recruitment, ownership of the technical road-map (which will include a re-architecture of their platform) and work closely with the CEO as part of the senior leadership team.
The Chief Technology Officer will drive innovation and strategy across the product suite.
You'll help define process, strategy and have ownership of technical delivery (including resourcing and recruitment)
You'll act as the technical champion of the company - engaging with clients and customers
You'll nourish innovation and be driven to support the engineering, QA and support teams to maximise their potential
You'll have budgetary and P&L responsibilities
The CTO will have a technical background in software development (ideally with exposure to .Net, Azure and Share Point)
You'll be passionate about technology - specifically in process automation, AI, Cloud and/or Security
You'll have demonstrable commercial acumen - have you grown a software product successfully before and learnt from mistakes and challenges?
You'll be comfortable in front of customers - you'll be a strong communicator and happy to pitch in as the technology champion when it matters.
You'll be comfortable working in a high-growth start-up environment. This firm boast a brilliant, energetic culture where everyone supports each other, including the CEO.
While home based, you'll be comfortable travelling to their Dublin head office 1-2 days per week post Covid, with potential occasional travel to client site in the future.
£75-85,000 dependent on experience with a competitive package which includes £20,000 bonus potential, pension, health cover and share options (post 12 months)
