HR & Talent Manager - Diamond Corrugated - Derry
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with Diamond Corrugated based in Derry, a leading manufacturer of containerboard packaging, who are currently seeking to appoint an HR & Talent Manager on a permanent basis. The organisation is open to applicants seeking both full-time and part-time hours.
Diamond Corrugated is a manufacturer and supplier of containerboard packaging to a variety of customers ranging from local to multinational blue-chip customers across various market sectors. Their ongoing capital investment programme has contributed to significant growth and success in recent years and today they are one of the UK and Ireland's most advanced manufacturers within their industry.
Diamond Corrugated has experienced tremendous success over the past number of years, continuing to successfully trade during the pandemic and importantly continuing to grow and ultimately meet their ambitious longer-term plans.
The successful HR & Talent Manager will report to the directors and working closely with the wider Senior Management team on a day-to-day basis. There is a lot of autonomy in the role, with the successful HR & Talent Manager working in a stand-alone capacity. The role will cover the entire generalist remit, including employee relations, recruitment & selection, talent management, learning and development, as well as designing and implementing new policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
The HR & Talent Manager will also be responsible for identifying any training and development needs, keeping an employee competency database for succession planning and redeployment purposes. You will also work closely with the Senior and Middle management teams to embed organisational values and high performing culture, as well as supporting other strategic projects when required.

The right fit
Suitable candidates must be CIPD qualified, ideally with a degree, possessing a proven track record within an organisation where they have worked with senior team members.
This is a role that while operational, will have a key focus on the strategic direction of the business, therefore the successful candidate will have previous experience of influencing and building relationships at a senior level.
Key skills required:
- CIPD qualification
- Ideally degree educated
- 5 + years' + HR Generalist experience at HR Officer level or above
- Talent Management experience is important
- Ability to influence at a senior level
