Procurement Manager (Full Time, Permanent)
APP-Ni are a distribution group providing pipeline products and hire equipment into the civils and construction sector are looking to recruit a high calibre individual with purchasing and stock control experience, preferably with knowledge of our existing markets and customer base.
This role is based in Lisburn.
You will have the drive, determination and ability to work within the existing team and to develop and support the existing business systems and infrastructure. This is an exciting and challenging position and will play a key supporting role in allowing the commercial functions to focus on business development and achievement of their key objectives.
•Establish and implement purchasing policies, procedures and best practices
•Co-ordination of procurement policies to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints
•Identify and source new suppliers and products
•Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability
•Implement and maintain stock control policies and procedures
•Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers
•Experience in purchasing and procurement
•Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems
•Good presentation skills with an ability to communicate at all business levels
•The ability to interact successfully across a diverse customer and supply base
•Good organisational , analytical and problem solving skills
•Demonstrable desire to take responsibility, identify opportunities and drive ideas to achieve successful conclusions
