Diamond Recruitment Group is currently seeking a Head Chef for our client to work in the Dungannon area, Co.Tyrone.
This is a permanent job and our client is a well-established business which is going through a growth and investment phase.
Your job as Head Chef is to support the owners in developing the customer experience, menu’s and best practice by leading all kitchen staff.
This business already has a great team working in their kitchen whom have been with the business a long time and work very well together. They are eager to have new leadership and support with training.
As head chef you will have a proven track record in effective people and process management, high quality standards and ability to produce fantastic tasting dishes.
You will be responsible for daily operations in the kitchen across all shifts, ensure effective management of your team to have cover 7 days per week, catering for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner’s and Events where required.
You will work with the owners to help source the finest produce for the restaurant while controlling costs, reducing waste and maintaining strong profit margins for the business.
Help produce menus and news dishes which maintain the current customer base and attract new customers.
You will help recruit, manage, train and develop all staff to ensure the highest standards of H&S, Food Safety and Food Quality at all times.
Manage all stock control issues, replenishment of raw goods and re-ordering.
Manage all staff levels to ensure an effective but efficient workforce.
Ensure 5 star hygiene standards at all times.
Provide a positive work environment where everyone can learn to work successfully if under pressure.
- Min level 3 NVQ in Catering or equivalent.
- Min 3+ years’ experience as a Head Chef where the restaurant has min 1000+ covers per week (across breakfast, lunch & dinner)
Will consider a Sous Chef with 5+ year’s experience whom is keen to progress their career.
- Ability to help develop new menu’s which are fitting to the target customer base.
- A true passion for making excellent dishes, with great attention to detail and best practice.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene desirable
- Excellent people management skills.
Salary & Benefits
£30,000 - £40,000
Possible performance related bonus.
