This organisation is an independent charity formed in 2014 but dates back further to the 1980's when it was established by the government. The organisation is governed by a board of trustees and run by the chief executive and his board of directors. They are responsible for the care, upkeep and day to day running of a selection of the most unique buildings in the UK, each having their own significant purpose and history in society.
Your new role
Based in Co. Down the estate comprises a large residence which dates back to 1700's along with associated out buildings and a four-acre garden.
The main purpose of the role is to assist the Maintenance Manager in ensuring that the M&E services at estate are maintained in an appropriate and operational condition. While assisting in planning for future maintenance and implementing a reactive and routine maintenance regime for services.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you hold an HNC level or above in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering. You will also have experience of installation and maintenance of commercial and residential M&E services.
A good understanding of M&E legislation and contractor obligations is essential. It would be beneficial but not essential to have knowledge across both electrical and mechanical services including load shedding and switching on Low voltage power, AV Systems, Cold Water Supplies, Boiler Plant, Security Systems, HVAC Systems, Drainage and Fire Alarms.

The starting salary is £29,529 with 25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays.
