IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO KICKSTART A CAREER AS A WELDER!
Did you miss the opportunity to apply for the Welding Academy at the South West College (SWC) in conjunction with the Department for the Economy (DfE)?
If so, the recruitment has reopened and applications are welcome for this training opportunity to gain the skills to take up welding roles within companies in the Dungannon and surrounding area. The participating companies are:-

- TBC Ltd, Dungannon
- Maximus Crushing and Screening, Dungannon
- Northern Hydraulics Ltd, Dungannon
- Specdrum Engineering, Dungannon
- Lagan Engineering, Dungannon•
- Kiverco Ltd, Dungannon
- McCloskey International, Dungannon
- SFM Engineering Ltd, Keady
- Burrows Engineering, Cookstown
- Steelweld Fabrications Ltd, Cookstown
The Academy provides five weeks intensive training at the SWC’s Dungannon campus, followed by a two week placement with one of the participating companies. Participants will study a Level 2 City and Guilds Award in Welding Skills and receive further training and mentoring during the placement period.
All applicants must be at least 18 years old by Monday 3rd February 2020 and currently eligible to work in the UK.
