One of Northern Irelands top tier contractors are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to work on multi-million projects across Ireland. With a focus on a multitude of heavy civils schemes including, Water, Roads, Marine & Wind Turbine schemes, this contractor is an industry leader within in Northern Ireland construction sector for over 50 years and have been involved in some of the largest projects across the UK & Ireland.
This role will initially see you working within a water framework contract before moving on to another high valued wind farm scheme. All sites are Ireland based with no UK travel required and you will benefit from an excellent long-term career that offers attractive packages and progression opportunities.
Your new role
Initially based on a Water framework Scheme, you oversee a small team and ensure works are carried out to the highest standard and that client expectations are met in a timely and budgeted manner.
You will be responsible for overseeing Junior Engineers on a variety of tasks ensuring that the project is progressing within programme and that all stakeholders are kept informed of works.
You will be tasked with checking drawings and quantities to ensure that work is delivered in accordance with the specification.
You must be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of the civil industry and have strong communication skills to liaise with your team and subcontractors.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered successful for this role it is expectant that you are CSR registered and ideally have worked on heavy civils schemes however, building experience will be considered.
It is essential that you have a minimum of 4+ years' experience within Site engineering and ideally on civils projects.
To succeed in this role the expectancy should be to have technical knowledge of setting out, ordering materials and supervising subcontractors as well as being able manage clients and sub-contractors on site.
You must be willing to travel and stay overnight across Ireland.
