Your new role
This contractor has a requirement for a Section Engineer for a new project starting on a high-profile rail line. Initially based throughout the UK, the role may also open up work in Northern Ireland. Your new role will initially be a large £multi-million Rail Scheme which includes the development of new platforms, foot bridge and cycle path.
The role will involve working with the track requirements as well as the construction of platforms. You will be responsible for overseeing setting out duties as well as working with Slip form, Drainage and RC work. You will be tasked with checking drawings and quantities to ensure that work is delivered in accordance with the specification. You must be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of the construction industry and have strong communication skills to liaise with your team and subcontractors.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered successful for this role it is expectant that you are CSR registered and ideally have worked on high value civil or building projects. It is essential that you have 3-5 years' experience within Site engineering and ideally worked on a similar role. To succeed in this role the expectancy should be to have technical knowledge, capable of ordering materials and supervising subcontractors as well as the ability to manage clients and sub-contractors on site.
