A family run maintenance contractor based in County Down, are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join their Dundonald-based Healthcare maintenance team. With an opportunity to gain long-term, local workload on a steady public sector maintenance contract.
Your new role
As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be based at a large single site health care facility in Dundonald where you will have responsibility for planned maintenance and small works installations on mechanical systems as well as ordering parts and managing staff at the facility. This would include managing mechanical trade staff and general maintenance assistants. Mechanical systems include ventilation (air handling units and air conditioning), oil and gas boilers, heating systems, hot and cold water services, drainage, chillers and medical gas. It is not essential to have medical gas experience but it would be beneficial.
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible to apply to this position you must have experience of working in a building services or engineering maintenance environment. You must also have completed a recognised and registered building services/engineering apprenticeship. (Full details of apprenticeship must be given)
Must hold a relevant building services/engineering or other related subject qualification at QCF or NQF Level 3 (or higher) together with a minimum of 5 years relevant post apprenticeship experience.
OR a BTec (Higher) or equivalent in building services/engineering or other related subject together with a minimum of 3 years relevant post apprenticeship experience.
Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car
What you'll get in return
This is a long term temporary position which may lead to a permanent position. You will be paid weekly, every Friday morning via BACS transfer. The rate of pay will depend on your experience and range between £11.70 to £15.00 per hour. You will also receive 28 days paid annual leave pro rata.
