M&E Engineer required to surveyor a portfolio of commercial properties across Northern Ireland.

They carryout audits, inspections and surveys on Statutory Compliance, DDA, Fire Risk, Space Planning, Environmental and Dilapidation.
Your new role
Our client are seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to carry out a programme of surveys on a portfolio of commercial properties across Northern Ireland which is expected to take c. 3 months to complete.
You will be required to carry out a 3-part survey to include M&E Assets, Building Fabric and a Pole Cam Survey to image the externals of the site.
Surveyors are to collect all M&E assets on site and be certain a system is complete. For instance, for a complete wet heating system we would expect to see; Boiler, Flue, Pumps, Some form of expansion (pressurisation unit / F&E tank), Heating outlets, PRVs, Valves, Heating Pipework, Gas meter, Gas pipework, Oil Tank, Solenoid Valve, etc.
Information must be obtained from the following sources if available: Data Plates, O&M Manuals, Fire Logbook, Building Management System (if present), Water Hygiene (L8) Log book, F-Gas Register, Maintenance Log Books i.e. Gas Safety Certificates.
All the required asset attribute information must be recorded i.e. install date, condition, rating, etc.
Surveyors must detail specific fabric items with a condition code of C or below by room or building and external area dependant on fabric type. Fabric assets are to be categorised for each type identified.
Surveyors should identify the following where applicable: cracks, damp, excessive dirt, raised/damaged flooring, poor and damaged Ceilings, missing roof tiles, damaged fixtures and fittings, damaged, loose or corroding external signage, external fire escapes/staircases, damage to timbers from woodworm or dry rot.
What you'll need to succeed
You will either be from a timeserved mechanical / plumbing or electrical background with experience on commercial or industrial installation or maintenance works
Have a Degree or HND/C in M&E Building Services sector, ideally with consulting engineering experience.
You must have a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid £16.50 per hour plus accrued holiday pay.
Business mileage will be reimbursed at 32p per mile.
You will be paid via BACS transfer every Friday morning.
