We are currently seeking to recruit a Product Design Engineer to join a leading innovative manufacturing firm who have built themselves an excellent reputation with both their customers - for their excellent product range, and their employees for the professional development and career progression opportunities they offer. Based from their facility in Lisburn you will become key figure within the firm with regards to design for manufacture concepts.
Your new role
As our clients latest Product Design Engineer, you will report directly to the NPD Manager and work closely with customers as well as the wider Engineering team to produce both 2D & 3D models and design concepts. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the conceptual design is managed with manufacturing processes and capabilities in mind. As our clients sole Product Design Engineer, it will be your responsibility to provide innovative solutions to meet customer requirements. You will work on developing products for a range brands within our clients' portfolio, you will design with various materials in mind including plastics, fabric, metal etc.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing the Product Design Engineers role you should be coming with a 3rd level qualification in an Engineering related discipline - we would be particularly interested in candidates with a Degree in Product Design. You should have substantial industry experience in a product design role with experience in working with various materials and producing design concepts for manufacture.
