Regional Operations Director (£65,000)

The job is based in London and will cover a network of depots servicing the Southern region. The job will pay up to £65000 plus a very attractive benefits package including bonus, company car, etc.

As part of this next stage of their development they require a Regional Operations Director to spearhead the process.
Tell me more about the job:
Reporting directly to the Operations Director you have P&L responsibility for the Southern network of depots. In liaison with the Board you will identify key trends looking for opportunity and risk. Driving performance and key projects are critical elements of the role. You will be the main interface with key accounts ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction are maintained. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to effectively manage and develop people are essential skills for the success of this position. You will oversee the induction, development and retention of staff at all levels, especially so with 2nd layer management ensuring succession planning and continual professional development. As Regional Operations Director you will be accountable for all operational staff, audits, corrective action, Health & Safety and the development of leading edge customer service logistics provision which will be supported by internal technology to optimize route planning and manage labour.

If you are an experienced Logistics leader with solid experience in a frenetically fast paced environment managing teams across several different sites then yes it certainly could be. You'll be a strategic thinker with strong business acumen and commercial focus with the ability to manage efficiently and implement the very best route planning principles and practices. Your attitude and ethos to work would need to be underpinned by a focus to deliver the highest standards of customer care and satisfaction. You will have unquestionable leadership skills and a proven record in developing people and a culture that encourages people to be the best they can be and to deliver impeccably high standards to the customer every time. The ability to manage, or at least significantly contribute to, the multi-site P&L function and implement and maintain a rigorous H&S policy would also be two key pre-requisites of the job.
