Permanent HR Officer position, based in Derry

A leading provider of business process solutions and a large employer in the North West. Hays are working alongside this company to recruit a HR Officer to join their existing HR Team. Working hours will be Mon to Fri - 9am to 6pm. This is an office based role with Working From Home flexibility.
Your new role
Reporting to the HR Manager you will provide a professional HR Advisory service to Managers on all employee/employment and recruitment related matters. In your position as HR Officer you will advise managers on all aspects of ER, both informal and formal levels. Act as a panel advisor within disciplinary/grievance meetings and produce all related paperwork for these. You will take a lead role in the co-ordination of investigatory meetings leading from employee complaints. Drive and lead employee relations activities, Train managers/employees on implementation of HR related policies, manage the payroll function and resolve employee queries. Produce offer letters and contracts of employment. Identify to the HR Manager areas of improvement within the HR function.
What you'll need to succeed
As HR Officer, it is essential that you can demonstrate experience in a HR role, in particular employee relations / recruitment and selection. Be CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD. A working knowledge of all Employee legislation, committed to continuous professional development and proficient in Microsoft Office suite. It is important that you possess good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads. Can develop strong working relationships with staff and senior management. Are passionate about people and their development. Enthusiastic with a positive, can do attitude to work.
