Planner required for successful N.I Based Contractor

Hays have been retained by one of the leading contractors in Northern Ireland to resource an experienced Construction Planner on a full-time and permanent basis
This main building contractor has been successfully operating throughout the UK & Ireland for over 50 years. They have developed a strong reputation for delivering design, build and cost solutions to a variety of clients including those operating in the property, renewable, commercial, pharmaceutical, educational, retail and security sectors.
Due to continued success in being awarded and new build contracts your new employer now require a Construction Planner to be based in Belfast or Mid Ulster.
Your new role
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Construction Planner will support the company by identifying, controlling and forecasting timescales and resource requirements whilst implementing best practice project planning policy, processed and procedures during the full life cycle of projects from tender through to completion.
You will be responsible for accurately identifying and resourcing requirements for projects including labour, plant and materials.
You will provide support for all construction planning functions ensuring that issues or irregularities within the programme are highlighted and understood by all.
The successful candidate will represent the company at client meetings and assist in the continuous improvement of safety and performance
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a Construction Planning Environment is essestial with a specific focus on using Asta Souftward however, other tools such a MS powerporject will still be considered. Some UK Travel will be required for the role so you must be flexible to a degree of travel when required. Given the nature of the work you must also have excellent communication skills and be able to work at all levels of the business from Senior Management to Trades.
