Your new role
Your job as Senior Finance Officer you will report to the Finance Manager & Director of Finance. Part of your new role you will be responsible for preparation of annual revenue and capital budget models, analysis and reports for Senior Management Team and Budget holders, assist with monitoring financial progress against targets and provide timely reports to the Director of Finance, assist with preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts and associated reports to Director of Finance, assist with the supervision of group payrolls and pensions schemes ensuring all appropriate deductions are made together with submitting the year-end returns to Government Dept. in both NI & ROI.
You will also be responsible for assisting in developing and reviewing all financial policies and procedures ensuring they comply with current best practice and legislative requirements, general management supervising and direct staff in line with the strategic aims and corporate culture of the association.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential you will be part qualified in ICAI, CIMA, ACCA, or other recognised accountancy qualification, have 2 years experience in preparation of management accounts, budgets and financial forecasts to final review stage, Strong IT skills using Microsoft Office and accounts packages. You will also have excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work on own initiative with strong attention to detail.
Desired criteria you will be qualified in ICAI, CIMA, ACCA or other recognised accountancy qualification, experience of multi currency & cross border operations, Experience in VAT requirements for charitable, social or construction sector, experience in using sage, open accounts or payroll systems
