Our client is a leader in their sector based in Mid Ulster. Due to continued growth they now wish to recruit a Procurement Manager to join their growing team.
This business is quite diverse and supplies, manufactures and refurbishes equipment for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.
Procurement Manager overview (full spec available on request):
The Procurement Manager is primarily responsible for leading the Purchasing & Stores department to ensure that mechanical parts and products are sourced and purchased to support the Service department in maintaining an extensive fleet of hire equipment and vehicles. The Procurement Manager will also assume full procurement responsibility for several depots.
The ideal candidate:
Demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge of purchasing.
Previous experience working in a customer service environment.
Educated to degree level.
First class communication, influencing and negotiation skills both internally and externally at all business levels.
Strong planning, organisational and presentation skills.
IT proficient (The main software used for this role are Microsoft Office and Syrinx).
Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness as well as understanding the unique processes, procedures and needs of the business.
Full clean driver’s licence.
Willing and able to be flexible regarding working hours to fulfil the requirements of the role.
Experience in a similar role within the Plant / Powered Access industry.
Leadership or People Management experience.
A Diploma or a Degree within Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
