Your new company
You will be joining a multi site market leading organisation that is one of UK's largest food companies based in the Co. Tyrone area. The company provide a large range of products to retail, food service, wholesale and manufacturing markets. The company pride themselves on the highest level of customer service standards as well as hygiene and quality. Furthermore the organisation have been awarded recent accreditations from a number of outstanding departments. Due to an internal movement the company now require a Production Planner within the Equipment and Transport department on a temporary on-going basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Planning and Logistics Manager, you will have full responsibility for the coordination, control and logistics of trays, pallets, dolavs etc to and from the company's site based in Cookstown. On a daily basis you will work alongside the Planning and Logistics manner developing and implement continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department. This will involve providing a cost effective solution relating to the transport of products to the end user throughout Ireland and the UK. You will also be required to carry out any additional duties required from the Senior management team.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience of working in transport planning department within a high volume short shelf life environment will lead to your success. You will have excellent geographical knowledge of Ireland and the UK and have the ability to react to change in a fast moving industry. Applicants must have excellent IT literacy and in depth knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
What you'll get in return
You will be rewarded with a salary of between £22,000-£25,000 however this is negotiable due to experience. You will work within a modern facility that has just been refurbished. The company also offer excellent training and development programs that exist within a Multi site organisation.
