Senior Design Engineer to join leading specialist engineering & manufacturing firm in Dungannon

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to join a premium brand engineering and manufacturing firm who specialise in material handling and recycling systems for customers globally. Based from their office and production facilities in Dungannon you will be joining a successful business who pride themselves on their ability to provide innovative, high quality solutions and their high level of customer service.


Your new role
In your new role as Senior Design Engineer you will work closely with internal teams including technical sales, production, installation and the senior management team. You will also operate in both a client and customer facing capacity however, you will also work as part of well-established and successful design team who will provide you with support. In your new role you will be responsible for bespoke projects in which you will modify existing plant equipment to comply with customer requirements. You will also play an important role in the design and development of new products to enhance our client's current product range. You will work in SolidWorks producing high quality 3D Models and 2D production drawings, you will also have daily input into the PLM system. You will help create and modify product manuals and ensure each projects documentation is accurate. As a Senior Engineer you will give guidance, support and mentorship to Junior members of the team.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing the Senior Design Engineers role you should be innovative, creative and practically minded with strong communication and problem-solving skills. You should hold a Degree in Engineering with 5 years+ experience designing heavy plant equipment for the recycling, mining, crushing or screening sector. You should be proficient in SolidWorks with the qualities to lead and manage a team.
