A UK wide employer with a turnover of circa £35m who are growing their portfolio of works despite COVID-19, are currently seeking to employ a Site Engineer for a new civils schemes based across the UK & Ireland.
With 40 years industry experience of high-quality civil works in road, bridge, quarry and landfill schemes, this company offers rounded company packages including flights, accommodation, healthcare and travel allowance as well as and a long-term plan for progression.
Your new role
This is a new role and were you will join as a Site Engineer covering multiple smaller sites across the UK valued from £200K to £750K. You will be tasked with the engineering and management of each site.
You will be tasked setting out duties as well as managing the sub-contractors on site and ensuring the project is running to programme and that client needs are adhered to. Depending on you experience you may also deal with relevant statutory bodies and stakeholders throughout the duration of the project.
What you'll need to succeed
This role is bested suited to an engineer who is looking to gain management experience e.g. Assistant PM / PM / Contracts Manager roles.
You must be open to travel to sites across the UK and Ireland (travel and accommodation provided).
As a Site Engineer you will be required to have experience of 2 to 5 years+ on construction projects ideally with a background groundworks and civils schemes. You will be required to hold a relevant 3rd level qualification and be strong communicator with sound commercial awareness and working knowledge of health and safety on site. You will also be capable of setting out and supervising labour force.
