Growing Main Contractor, No UK Travel.
Your new company
Successful, widely recognised Co. Tyrone Construction Company is working in partnership with Hays in their recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor. Our client has been established within the construction industry for almost 30 years, delivering a wide range of construction projects from traditional block to more innovative options such as panelised construction. They specialise in off-site manufacturing facilities across the UK and Ireland, which enables them to deliver exceptional buildings within strict budgets and time frames. This contractor has experienced an increase in workload recently, and such growth is still ongoing. Due to this exponential growth they now have a necessity to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to expand their commercial team in Co. Tyrone.
Your new role
Reporting to the Contracts Director you will be responsible for the commercial performance of a range of projects worth up to £6m across a wide range of sectors including: Health, Industrial & Technology, Education, Office and Residential. Working closely with the Operational Team you will ensure the project is delivered on programme and within budget. You will be predominately office based, with no UK travel.
What you'll need to succeed
Due to the size and scale of my client's current project portfolio, it is essential that the successful candidate will have previously worked for a main contractor and completed a build project. You will be degree qualified with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. Strong negotiation skills and effective time management will be essential for the role.
What you'll get in return
This construction expert has maintained a solid reputation of employee development, providing in-house training and establishing a clear career path. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and excellence, this contractor has grown year on year, establishing their position as one of Ireland's leading building contractors. My client is a leading provider of modular buildings for a reason - they have a well-established client base, they provide fast track, inventive solutions, they offer a clear path for progression, and they put effort into making sure their staff enjoy the work they're doing. With the rise of Prefabricated Buildings, this is a great opportunity to get involved. Additional benefits include a highly competitive salary, pension plan, and 29 days annual leave.
