A Main Build and Civils Contractor based in County Tyrone is now recruiting for a Bid Writer to join their team. As a well-established and highly regarded contractor, they are undertaking a number of exciting projects across the UK and Ireland and are currently operating with a turnover of £20m. This contractor operates within the educational, residential, community and industrial sectors as well as water infrastructure, reservoirs and waste-water treatment works. Due to continued growth they wish to invest in an ambitious Bid Writer to join their Business Development Team.
Your new role
Based at the head office in County Tyrone and reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of the bid writing process ensuring that all PQQs and tender submissions are prepared to the highest standards. Therefore, you will be expected to assist in the review, preparation and delivery of tenders to prospective clients and internally to Senior Management. The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual who can demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team as you will be expected to collaborate with other teams within the business.
What you'll need to succeed
You will preferably have a third-level qualification in a construction discipline and will have experience of working within the construction industry with specific knowledge of Bid Writing. Persons will ideally be coming with two years experience from a Bid Writing background with strong commercial exposure. You must possess the ambition to continue to develop strong commercial awareness within the construction industry and will have excellent interpersonal skills. The successful Bid Writer will demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
