Your new role
As Finance Officer you will work in a busy finance department reporting to the Financial Accountant. You will provide finance support and will assist the Financial Accountant in the development and supply of technical solutions for all capital budget holders and assist in identifying expenditure to be capitalised at year end. Duties will include: building, profiling and monitoring budgets; maintain budget profiles on a monthly basis; investigating and responding to queries raised by budget holders; production of budgetary control reports; identification of all expenditure on the acquisition and creation of a fixed asset to be capitalised on an accruals basis; processing of journals to assist in producing the Annual Accounts and undertake other duties within Finance Department as determined by Financial Accountant.
What you'll need to succeed
Have a minimum of NVQ Level 3/ BTEC National Certificate/ Diploma / 2 'A' Levels or higher plus 2 years experience of using financial systems;
Have a minimum of 3 years experience using financial systems;
Experience of ICT to include the use of Microsoft Office with particular reference to Word and Excel;
