Automation Controls Engineer - Craigavon

Your new company
We are currently seeking to recruit an Automation Controls Engineer to join a leading FMCG firm based in Craigavon. Our client is a leading diary producer, a multi-site organisation and are considered an excellent employer. You will be working from their long-standing site in the Craigavon area however you will travel to other company sites on occasion.


Your new role
In your role of Automation Controls Engineer you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and take ownership of process control systems and ensure effective control and operation of all related equipment. In your new role you will be tasked with developing SCADA and MES systems to support manufacturing and utility operations. You will be tasked with ensuring that all maintenance related software is securely backed up and adequate security systems are in place. You will develop and prepare programs which meet Functional Design Specifications to maintain various control systems and networks. Fault diagnoses and trouble shooting are a key element of this role as is PLC programming and development.



What you'll need to succeed
To successfully secure the Automation Controls Engineers role you should be coming with a Degree in Mechatronic, Electrical or Electronic Engineering and have a minimum of 2 years industry experience in a similar role. You should have the ability to read electrical drawings, the ability to program PLCs from different manufactures and a good understanding of P&ID control loops and Profibus communication systems.
