Your new employer is a Northern Ireland based privately owned construction company operating throughout central London and Northern Ireland for the last 25 years.
Even with the current challenges of COVID, this employer continues to grow from strength to strength offering high-profile works in London including prestigious landmark buildings from hotel accommodation, high end residential developments and restoration of listed properties.
Here in Northern Ireland they have recently been awarded a new £multi-million housing executive framework that will see them carry out ongoing works in the region for the next 4 to 5 years. As such this growth has meant the need to hire a Planner to work within the business.
Your new role
Reporting to the Construction Director your new role will support the company by controlling and programming ongoing works within the NIHE framework. Working within NEC3 contracts, you will be tasked with ensuring work schedules are up to date and early warnings are being managed.
You will be responsible for accurately identifying and resourcing requirements for projects including labour, plant and materials. You will provide support for all construction planning functions ensuring that issues or irregularities within the programme are highlighted and understood by all.
What you'll need to succeed
This is a permanent vacancy with an excellent employer who have placed a very high importance on this role and as such are seeking an experienced planner who ideally has experience of NEC3 contract experience. Previous experience of working in a construction planning role will be required as well as a good understanding of Microsoft Project, Asta or even Primavera.
This role will require some site visits, but all locations will be based within Northern Ireland.
