MCS Group is urgently seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant on behalf of a key Public Sector client.
6 Month Contract on offer - Immediate start - Role based in Craigavon - Competitive salary & flexible working hours.
Responsible for processing of monthly payroll, including correct calculation of sickness benefit, pension, tax, AVC's, SMP, SSP etc. Compliance with current statutory legislation and company
Responsible for correct operation of payroll system including transfer of BACS file for payment
Maintenance of sickness records
Responsible for checking information from officers, correct input and calculation of overtime, bonus and other non standard
Responsible for correct coding of payroll costs to general ledger in accordance with timesheet information and budget
Reconciliation of monthly gross cost and preparation of control accounts
Remittances to outside bodies with accompanying reports on a regular
Maintenance of the travel and expenses system, checking claims, checking of calculations, cost coding and preparing of reports for entry into payroll
Two years experience in
Automated Payroll system
The successful candidate will adopt a proactive approach to work, be a problem solver, communicate well and and adapt to a fast paced and changing work environment
