Fantastic Children's Charity who cater for the most vulnerable Children, Young People, and Families throughout the UK. This particular post of Family Support Practitioner has funding secured until minimum 31st March 2010 with a possible view for extension.
Your new role
This project aims to support families when difficulties arise before they need involvement with statutory services. In your role you will seek to address issues of concern, achieve sustainable change, promote capability and capacity within families to problem solve difficulties and coordinate person centred, evidence based, early intervention for families with children aged 0-18 years. This is an outreach service working in families homes covering Ballymena and Antrim area. It can include some early evening work to suit working parents
What you'll need to succeed
- Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or above or equivalent/related health, counselling or social care qualification. OR 5 years' experience working in a multi-disciplinary team providing services to families and children aged 0-18 years.
- Good working knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Competence in the use of IT packages including MS Windows and Office along with email and internet
- Good record keeping.
