Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join leading manufacturer in N. Ireland

We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join one of Northern Irelands best known manufacturing firms. Our client is a leading provider of sensor technology to various sectors and are global leader in this field. Due to continued growth, advances in technology and an enhanced product rage they are seeking to bring a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to bolster their established team.


Your new role
Working in the capacity of Senior Hardware Design Engineer you will take on a range of duties and responsibilities with your main overall remit being to find innovate design solutions which meet and exceed customer expectations. In your role you will design and develop equipment to improve data networks, communications and displays. You will carry out feasibility studies from a technical and economic perspective. Working in conjunction with research engineers, scientist and customers you will determine best approach in relation to design-for-manufacture. Working in a range of software you will design and develop various hardware elements and components such as PCB, interfaces etc. You will conduct prototyping and testing on all parts, components and products through a rigorous validation process.


What you'll need to succeed
To prove successful in securing the Hardware Design Engineers role you should be coming with a Degree in electrical or electronic engineering (or related subject) and 4+ years' experience working in an electronic design role. Experience in electrical circuit design, PCB layout and product prototyping are key. You should have strong communication skills with the ability to produce detailed engineering documentation.
