General Operative (Precast)

8am to 5pm Mon to Thurs and 4pm on Fri - 41.5 hours per week with flexibility to work overtime when required
Our client supplies a comprehensive range of high quality concrete products to the construction industry. They specialize in 'made to order' products, both in Precast Concrete and Reconstituted Stone and due to continues business success have an opening for a General Operative to join their existing team on a temporary basis, with a view to a permanent post for the right candidate.
The General Operative will be in assisting in the production of precast concrete products including precast stairs, sills, and lintels.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Operating concrete casting machine
- Assisting with setting up and pouring precast stairs
- Stripping general precast and precast stairs
- General labouring and housekeeping duties
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety policies
- Observe and comply with all good working practices within the factory
- Hard working and conscientious
- Good time management skills
- Ability to learn quickly
- Work calmly under pressure
- Show initiative and enthusiasm
- Previous experience of working in the precast industry
- Previous experience of operating fork lift trucks
