A groundworks contractor based in County Tyrone currently require a Site Engineer for ongoing groundworks packages across the Northern Ireland. Your first site is a housing project based in Co. Antrim with 3 years' work in it.
A family run business, this employer has developed it business over the past 45 years to extend to clients with national and regional building and Civil Engineering Management Contractors, Professional Developers, Local Councils and private clients throughout Ireland.
Your new role
Working a Site Engineer you will be responsible for setting out groundworks using a totalstation and GPS. Projects will include earthworks and groundworks for commercial properties, school buildings and residential developments. Covering multiple sites, you will be based across both N.I however you will be provided with equipment and travel arrangements.
You will work closely with the in-house Quantity Surveyor in pricing works using an agreed schedule of rates and liaise directly with the clients. You will also be tasking with measuring up and calculating valuations. A rounded role, this position offers you excellent autonomy in the work place and you will become an integral part of the team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered successful, applicants must be willing to travel throughout N.I and be commutable to the site in Antrim.
Further to this, our client is seeking to employ a qualified Site Engineer who is fully aware of recent health and safety legislation, holds attention to detail to the highest regard and can complete work on time, within budget and to the highest quality.
Setting out experience is essential and ideally you will have experience in pricing and working with an agreed schedule of rates.
