Minor Works Project Manager required by a large public body on a temporary contract basis
Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large public body based in Antrim, to recruit a Minor Works Project Manager on a temporary contract basis for an initial period of 2 months.
Your new role
You will assist in ensuring the satisfactory delivery of minor works projects (up to c. £30K) from inception to completion. This will include:
Project managing multiple minor works, from preparation through to implementation and post project evaluation; Responsibility for the management of the procurement process for each project, including clarification of each project brief and carrying out feasibility studies;
Develop and critically analyse design options with multidisciplinary design team to determine optimum design within conflicting user and statutory constraints.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must possess:
A Degree in a Building / Engineering related discipline with 1 year's project management experience in the design, maintenance, construction or management of buildings, or:
An HND/HNC in a Building / Engineering related discipline with 4 years project management experience in the design, maintenance, construction or management of buildings.
Your experience should include:
Ability to communicate effectively with officers in other disciplines and departments at various levels of responsibility;
Competent in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office;
Knowledge of different procurement routes such as Measured Term Contracts etc;
Knowledge of various methods to prepare budget estimates and management of accounts for projects;
Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements;
Knowledge of building/engineering design, to current statutory standards and codes of practice.
