Public sector organisation require an M&E engineer to manage reactive maintenance and small works schemes.
Your new company
Our client is a large public sector body with an expansive portfolio of estate across Co. Antrim and Co Londonderry. This body has a dedicated property department that maintain this estate. The team is made up of Maintenance Managers from a range of technical backgrounds including Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management and M&E Building Services as well as direct labour staff who are responsible for the upkeep of the grounds and buildings.
Your new role
Our client has identified a temporary requirement for an engineer within their team, which is anticipated to last for an initial 3 months. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Officer you will work as part of a team of Maintenance Team who are responsible for the management of Planned and Reactive works across the estate with your specific responsibility in mechanical and electrical works.
This division carries out planned and preventative maintenance, periodic reports, condition surveys and cost estimates for mechanical and electrical works. You will also be responsible for all tendered contracts and the supervision and inspection of carried out mechanical and electrical works.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will come from a Level 3 city and guilds Plumbing, Heating or Electrical background with over 2 years experience in an estates or facilities management role.
HNC / HND or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering qualification.
What you'll get in return
This organisation is offering an immediate start for a suitably qualified engineer available initially for temporary contract work. Based Ballymena, with available on-site parking. All business mileage reimbursed at the HMRC rate per mile. Pay rate - £30,507 pro rata. 36 hours, Monday - Friday. 28 days paid annual leave. You will be paid weekly by BACS directly into your account.
