Maintenance Officer required to assist in managing an organisations response maintenance
Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained to recruit a Maintenance Officer on a temporary contract basis for an initial period of 3-4 months.
Our client oversees response and planned maintenance of a large estate located across Northern Ireland.
Your new role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be the link between the client and external contractors, ensuring that all response works are completed promptly and to a high standard. Your key duties will include:
Travel between multiple sites, assisting in the implementation of a best practice response maintenance contract; Supervise / inspect work carried out by external contractors;
Providing advice, guidance and support to the clients team;
Assist in the running of a Reactive maintenance programme for Buildings & Estates including the supervision of other staff members.
Maintain estate records ensuring the provision of accurate information for both internal and external purposes.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
A third level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject with 2 years' experience of overseeing reactive maintenance. In the absence of a 3rd level qualification, you should possess 4 years' experience of overseeing all aspects of reactive maintenance.
This will include:
Experience of supervising maintenance on site and managing external contractors;
Carrying out inspections of completed works;
Liaising with end user clients / stakeholders;
A current clean driving license with access to a vehicle.

A competitive salary is available, dependent on your level of experience, which will be paid via Hays on a weekly basis for all hours worked.
