Large commercial multi use site require a maintenance professional to oversee their PPM and reactive works.

Our client own and operate a large commercial site incorporating a range of services open to the general public, including shopping, cafes, bars, restaurants, car parks and a number of transport facilities.
Your new role
This position requires you to manage reactive and planned maintenance to ensure all buildings and services are maintained in a condition which conforms with current legislative requirements and provides a safe, comfortable and healthy environment consistent with the policy of the organisation.
Duties will include the day to day management of planned and response maintenance services including helpdesk management, performance monitoring and financial reconciliations. Assess routine defects reports (response maintenance), identify solutions and instruct 3rd party maintenance contractors of action to be taken.
Management of larger planned works will require you to plan, coordinate and manage the removal, installation and commissioning of all new works within and around property, associated buildings, grounds and overall site. In order to fulfil this role, you will be required to liaise with consultants, manage any selected contractors to ensure the work is carried out to the required standard, on time and to budget.
As this is a live site open to the public you will need to be aware of and pre-empt all risks while ensuring the smooth transition through the project procedures. Duties of the position will include but not be limited to site inspections, surveys, cost control and quality control.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous client-side project / facilities / maintenance management experience is essential, and you should be able demonstrate experience of maintaining a large-scale site or multi-site operation and / or a strong track record of successfully completed commercial/industrial projects. Ideally you will be suitably qualified with a 3rd level qualification in a construction, surveying or engineering related discipline.
What you'll get in return
This is a contract position anticipated to run for a duration of 6 months however may extend.
The rate of pay is in the range of £40k - £50k pro rata and is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications and the working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 but may require flexibility in line with the requirements of the project.
Payments will be made weekly, directly into your account by BACS based on the number of hours worked.
