Capital Project Officer required on a temporary contract basis by a large public body
Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large public body, to recruit a Capital Project Officer on a temporary contract basis for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of further extension.
Your new role
Working within the existing team, your main duties will include:
Provision of advice, design and cost management services and technical support;
Develop service delivery agreements for consultants and contractors;
Support the delivery of the Capital Programme including managing and monitoring contracts and service delivery agreements;
Management of allocated projects from inception to successful delivery ensuring compliance with projects briefs, objectives, and implementation plans;
Prepare effective project briefs in conjunction with project sponsors / clients;
Identify, mitigate and manage all risks and environmental considerations associated with allocated projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you should possess the following:
Degree or equivalent qualification in a built environment discipline, OR,
Registration or full current Membership by examination of a relevant professional body.
Experience working in construction project management to include:
Delivery of capital projects from inception to successful completion;
Preparation of tender documents;
Compliance with project budgets;
Coordinating internal and external project teams;
Building partnerships with a range of stakeholders.
