The role of Freight Coordinator is a varied position which sits within the transport team. This position isn't a typical freight role due to the set up of the business, creating a unique and highly interesting environment. You will be the first point of contact for hauliers and ensure communication is upheld always. You will ensure SLAs are met continuously and also suggest areas for business improvement. You will process freight/transport administration and run reports for senior management. You will also get to attend site visits from time to time and build face to face relationships.
The right person for this role will be a freight/transport professional with an interest in developing within a supply chain/logistics role. You will have a keen interest in transport and be familiar with industry challenges and terminology. You will have strong IT skills and have a strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
The package for this role is a salary of £20,000 per annum and full benefits can be discussed upon interview.
