Honeycomb is delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a leading global law firm, to recruit talented Document Checkers to join their established team in Belfast. These are night shift positions compressed over 4 days. Shifts available are either Sun - Wed 10.30pm - 9am or Wed - Sat 10.30pm - 9am.
The Client: Our client is one of the world's leading law firms, who have grown from strength to strength since establishing an operation in Belfast. They are renowned for the quality of work produced from the centre locally, their people centric approach and for having established a real 'team' environment since their introduction to the local market.
The Role: Due to their continued expansion, our client is seeking to recruit a number of talented Document Checkers within their Belfast Team. The department is responsible for providing a timely and high quality document checking, copy editing and proof reading service in accordance with the needs of the Departments client's. As such, we are keen to speak to individuals who not only have exceptional administration skills, but have the ability to build relationships with wider internal teams.
Typical duties include;
- To proofread documents, accurately and effectively, using the department's standardised marks on hard copy or to edit documents accurately on screen or listen to and check oral transcriptions if requested.
- To provide advice for Clients with regard to the use of English language or house style issues and editing documents to improve readability if requested.
- To book in work, following the agreed booking-in procedure, working with the department's clients and the central team to take instructions, clarify queries and renegotiate deadlines as appropriate.
- To organise departmental work flow, to ensure work is completed within the timeframes specified.
The Person: We are seeking Graduates / Professional Proof readers / Document Checkers with exceptional English language skills and a high regard for attention to detail, coupled with an understanding of a work flow management environment. Previous legal, financial or professional services proofreading services experience would be an advantage.
