We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Research Officer for the Belfast area. This will be a full-time temporary ongoing role, Monday to Friday consisting of 37 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £9.68
Duties & Responsibilities:
-The design and extraction of statistically valid samples from various sample frames held within and outside the Housing Executive.
-The design and production of appropriate survey questionnaires, including those for use in Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) projects.
-The statistical analysis of survey returns using SPSS.
-Quality assurance and validation of data collected via Surveys.
-The preparation of written reports on smaller projects and the drafting of other reports and papers under the direction of Project Leaders.
-The presentation of research results both orally and in report format.
-The supervision and briefing of junior staff involved in the survey process.
-Other duties as required
-Degree in a social science which included a substantial element of formal training in statistics or research methodology and a minimum of one year's experience working in an applied social research environment and candidates must have used SPSS in an applied social research environment.
-A minimum of three years' experience working in an applied social research environment and candidates must have used SPSS in an applied social research environment.
-Post graduate qualification in social research methods.
-Experience of carrying out household surveys/customer satisfaction surveys in an applied social research environment.
-Experience of working in social housing or related field.
