Consultant Forensic Pathologist
The Department of Justice (DOJ) wishes to make a permanent appointment at consultant level and invites applications from Consultants, Senior Registrars or Specialty Registrars, or equivalent, in forensic pathology.
The post is located in a fully resourced, modern, purpose-built premises in the State Pathologist’s Department (SPD), which is situated in the grounds of the Royal Victoria Hospital, Grosvenor Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Department is physically linked to a modern forensic mortuary.
SPD is an essential component of the justice system of Northern Ireland by performing coronial post-mortem examinations and in providing advice and guidance in other areas of forensic medicine to the police service, DOJ and Courts.
