Premiere People Healthcare are seeking to recruit a Registered Nurse Manager to join the leading supplying agency to NHS Trusts across Northern Ireland.

Hours: Part time

About the role:

The Healthcare Managers role will be to provide effective and comprehensive support to the Operational Management and Registered Nursing teams.

The role requires the Manger to be responsible for the recruitment , assessment, supply and placement of all Nurses in accordance with relevant statutory employment legislation and maintaining effective control of relevant administration systems.

The manager will be expected to provide exceptional customer service and quality standards to all stakeholders including customers where relationships will be successfully maintained and continually developed. The person will be responsible for ensuring that compliance is completed to meet the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) standards, Company policy and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Advertise vacancies on available resources

• Review potential applicants cv's for current and potential vacancies, discuss roles and arrange interviews, assessing applicants abilities.

• Interview applicants, ensuring all relevant compliance information is verified , obtained copied and recorded in candidates folders and add to in house computer systems.

• Carry out pre employment checks according to client and RQIA requirements.

• Ensure all Nurses have been correctly vetted in accordance with current legislation. Making sure that the nurses experience training and skill set match the area for which they are placed to carry out their duties.

• The role requires monthly monitoring of ongoing training, compliance and security checks.

• To ensure that Premiere People Healthcare have clear policies and procedures in place for the placement of Nurses in line with RQIA/NMC requirements. Carry out any required amendments to the policies when advised by RQIA inspectors.

• To ensure that any training requirement changes by clients or professional bodies are explained and completed and recorded.

• Review and action all alert letters and correspondence and if required prevent those from working if needed.

• Monthly reviews of: NMC pins, training requirements, one to one meetings with Nurses, client appraisals, access ni checks. The registered manager is responsible for sending and recording feedback forms, if any concerns are documented the registered manager is responsible to review and resolve any concerns raised.

• In the event of a complaint / allegation made against a nurse currently placed on an assignment it is the responsibility of the registered Manager to ensure that action is taken in line with complaints policy.

• RQIA audits, part of this role requires the Nurse Manager to assist the RQIA inspectors with announced and unannounced inspections.

Criteria

• Nurse with current NMC registration

• Must have 5 years post - qualification experience

• Must have a management qualification or 2 years managerial experience within the last 5 years.

• IT literate in the use of Word, Excel, Email

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work on own initiative
