Kennedy Health and Social Care are seeking Probation Officers for two roles within a Domestic Violence Problem Solving Court Project. They will be based around Downpatrick / Belfast and Portadown offices.
The client is a large renowned government organisation and the expected working hours will be 37 hours per week on a temporary contract initially until 31/03/2020 with the view to extend.
As a Probation Officer you will have the responsibility for undertaking suitable and sufficient supervised activity or Community Service Health across sites and placements, including the consideration of the capacities and circumstances of individual staff and offenders. You will be responsible for undertaking offender under threat risk assessments in line with policy and procedures and to case manage offenders subject to community service or supervised activity.

The ideal applicant must:
*Hold recognised Professional Social Work qualification (CQSW/ Dip SW/ CSS).
*Must be registered on part one/part one with conditions of the NISCC (Northern Ireland Social Care Council) before taking up post. If Part 1 with conditions (i.e. subject to the Assessed Year in Employment), candidate requested to provide either:
o NISCC form Summary of Learning/Assessed Year in Employment (Student Transcript) for newly qualified social workers embarking on the AYE
o NISCC form Attachment to Reference - for Staff Changing Employer or Team Within the AYE (Form Ref AYE4)
* Be willing to undergo and Enhanced Access NI. Please note that a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position. This will depend on the nature of the position and circumstances of the offences.
*Hold a full current driving license valid for use in the UK and have access to a car.
