Scheme Coordinator required by a large Housing Association for 3 months to work in a scheme in Belfast

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Housing Association based in Belfast, to recruit a Scheme Coordinator on a temporary contract basis for an initial period of 3 months.
Your new role
This role is 30 hours per week and will work within one of the Association's Sheltered Schemes in East Belfast which is available for residents over the age of 60. Your main duties will include:
Providing day to day support to tenants, liaising directly with tenants, their relatives and Health and Social Services, and manage the scheme to ensure a safe and secure environment;
Providing prospective tenants with information on the Scheme and its services;
Signing up new tenants and through induction, providing them with a clear understanding of the facilities at the Scheme;
Assessing the support needs of tenants and complete and maintain outcome -focused support plans;
Through Support Planning, you will look out for signs of need and organise and co-ordinate appropriate care; Encouraging the use of the common amenities by tenants and neighbouring elderly people;
Reporting repair needs of the building to the Services Centre and check work done by contractors;
Ensuring the safety and security of the buildings through regular internal and external checks.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must possess:
One year's recent experience providing care/support preferably to elderly residents;
Administrative experience - collate and organise records;
Demonstrable IT experience.
Ideally You Will Possess:
A qualification in Housing or Support/Care;
Knowledge of Welfare & Health Services;
Knowledge of Health & Safety.
