Scheme Coordinator required by a Housing Association to cover a period of maternity leave
Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Housing Association based in Belfast, to recruit a Scheme Coordinator on a temporary contract basis to cover a period of maternity leave.
Your new role
You will provide day to day support to tenants, liaising directly with tenants, their relatives and Health and Social Services, and manage the scheme to ensure a safe and secure environment. This will include the following main duties:
Provide prospective tenants with information on the Scheme and its services;
Sign up new tenants and through induction, provide them with a clear understanding of the facilities at the Scheme;
Assess the support needs of tenants and complete and maintain outcome -focused support plans;
Through Support Planning, you will look out for signs of need and organise and co-ordinate appropriate care; Encourage the use of the common amenities by tenants and neighbouring elderly people;
Report repair needs of the building to the Services Centre and check work done by contractors;
Ensure the safety and security of the buildings through regular internal and external checks.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must possess:
One year's recent experience providing care/support preferably to elderly residents;
Administrative experience - collate and organise records;
Demonstrable IT experience.
Ideally you will possess:
A qualification in Housing or Support/Care;
Knowledge of Welfare & Health Services;
Knowledge of Health & Safety.
