A leading global law firm operating in over thirty countries is seeking a paralegal to join their organisation on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Your new role
The organisation is seeking an experienced paralegal or legal executive to form part of the firm's Regulation and Conduct Team and support it in aspects of their project work.
Role and Responsibility
You will populate the firm's systems and processes to comply with the new EU disclosure of tax arrangements directive (DAC6) as part of the firm's GDPR record-keeping and reporting. You will manage the DAC6 Compliance Inbox and the collateral on the DAC6 intranet page. You will assist with the process of renewal of Irish Practising Certificates. You will work with the Training Compliance Manager to ensure Irish CPD has been successfully obtained and recorded. You will work with the Training Compliance Manager in relation to updating CPD records including follow-up actions required. You will process certificates of training attendance. You will assist with ad hoc queries regarding, amongst others, training records and the QLTS. You will generate reports from the firm's LMS. You will assist with other global Regulation and Conduct projects as required. You will work across the Regulation and Conduct and In-House Legal teams and liaising with other teams globally. You will be providing triage for incoming requests, addressing common queries and seeking support from the team as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have a law degree to a 2:1 level. You will have commercial experience. You will have demonstrable IT skills, including proficiency in Powerpoint, Excel and Microsoft Office applications. You will demonstrate administrative experience within a professional environment. You will have excellent communication skills at all levels, including with senior stakeholders. You will have a proven ability to work independently and proactively and to manage and prioritise a busy workload, excellent attention to detail, a collaborative approach and an ability to work well in a small team.
