This is a unique opportunity for a leader to own and set the architectural and technical direction for our clients apps development. As the head of apps development you must provide leadership, maintain the drive and focus of the team and make sure the highest standards are met. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. They expect you to have experience in growing, maintaining and shaping development teams from the ground up.

Own the technical/architecture side as well as ensure the successful delivery of our clients apps.
Lead a team of developers.
Help manage and coordinate tasks for the development team.
Identify engineering resource and define and implement a long-term recruitment strategy to attract, hire, on-board a team of exceptional engineers.
Thoroughly understand and articulate the vision, the 'why', the business case, benefits of particular apps to developers.
Work closely alongside our clients senior apps developer and the apps development team.
Establishing software development and documentation processes.
Expected to travel to our London office.
Understands the big picture: the wider implications of any decisions made, and any governance, compliance and regulatory responsibilities.
Really strong relevant technical background working with related frontend and backend technologies.
Experience leading a team of developers.
Experience planning and executing recruitment strategies for team expansions.
Proven experience working in a senior technology role
Proven track record of working under an agile scrum culture.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Highly motivated, proactive, strong eye for details, ability to work part of a team.
Experience mentoring and coaching junior and mid-level software engineers.
