Senior Software Engineer – The Future of AI - £65,000
“We use the right tools for the job.”
In one sentence, the Head of Platform had summed up exactly the mentality he values.
So where do you come in?
Well, you can come from any background within software development. Your specific technical skill set isn’t overly important but your ability to take your syntax experience and apply it elsewhere is.
Ideally, you’ll have sound knowledge of some functional, procedural and scripting languages.
To be transparent, you’ll be working extensively in a technology that is becoming ever more popular in the market – Node.js - and building scalable micro-services with it.
You’ll also gain valuable experience across:
- Python & React
- Kubernetes & Docker
- Microservices, TDD & Cloud platforms
Admittedly, I had to Google this next bit because I’ve been assured it’s pretty damn new. It’s not an approach you’re likely to find in Belfast, but how does developing Micro Front-End architectures sound?
Be aware though, this is a meaty role. If solely writing lines of code is your thing, I’d probably suggest you stop reading now.
Still here? Nice. You’ll be able to get hands-on with the stuff a well-rounded software engineer should.
We’re talking about truly owning the product from start to finish. Pushing things to production is a regular occurrence, not simply handing off to the next team. Reviewing your own code is your responsibility. Act like a soundboard for the wider team - even ‘reverse-mentor’ the boss and get a pat on the back for it!
In terms of package, you’ll have:
- A salary up to £65,000
- Private health, dental and optical care
- WFH options and unlimited holidays
You’ll be working on a world-class product suite that incorporates things like Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision to help clients across a range of industry sectors so it’s a booming business.
This role can be considered on a remote basis, within the UK only, however.
It won’t be around for long so call Connor today for a chat.
