MCS Group is seeking an experienced software development project manager to join an established and innovative company as they look to grow their team. You will be responsible for coordinating a group of IT specialists to tackle a challenging assignment that is on a strictly need to know basis, intrigued, then read on...

The role:

• Produce, plan, document and report during the entirety of the project deliverables and each project stage

• Strategically identify and manage the project risks and issues

• Liaise with the customer ensuring analysis and documentation of the customers requirements to the highest standards

• Assemble and assist customer workshops and meetings as well as internal board meetings

• Identify project resource requirements both personnel and equipment, tying in with departmental managers regarding project resource allocation

• Communicate with all levels across the team

• Resolve client issues working at both process and technical level suggesting solutions that will have an impact

• Assist pre-sales activities as required, including provision of project plans, risk registers and costings

About you:

• 3+ yrs experience in project management within a software development environment - Experience of management of work items in DevOps or JIRA

• PRINCE2 Practitioner certification preferred

• .Net backgroud would be an advantage

• Sound communication skills including ability to deliver presentations using structure & style appropriate to the audience

• Ability to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of client demands

• Commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics priorities, how to manage the timescales required and have an appreciation of issues outside the area of your own expertise

Due to the nature of our customers, this person must be eligible of obtaining SC level security accreditation once in role.
