MCS Group is seeking and experienced level 2-3 IT support engineer to join a growing and ambitions managed service provided who will provide a fantastic opportunity for the right person to take their next challenging step in their career. Triage those technical issues via ticketing system or phone, remotely or on site.
Cover a range of project work involving servers, computer, printers, peripherals, firewalls and network related equipment.
Aid and impart knowledge to those 1-2 line support engineers.
Use your commercial awareness to resolve or escalate those business-critical issues to minimise their impact on clients businesses.
Personable, adaptable, and able to use your own initiative
Committed to your own and others on going development
A quick learner with the ability to think laterally and with creativity to find those solutions needed
Your technical knowledge:
An experienced desktop support background
A grasp of networking fundamentals
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Windows Server with associated roles such as HyperV, DNS, DHCP and Active Directory
Server and O365 system upgrade and migration knowledge
Emil infrastructure - MS exchange or O365
Appreciation of the principles of firewalls
